The grease nipple hunt is a “Haley's Comet” topic.
A cluster of stars lost in the darkness of space, until someone notices one & the hunt is on for more. When everyone has located them & the appropriate measures taken, they are forgotten about & lost. Until the sometime in the future the next generation spots one.
It would be nice to think the next down the line of discoverers might be a James Webb.
Any suggestions what his avatar might be?

Such an eloquent and elegant reply once again AP..you never disappoint.
Of course once located it was almost certain that my grease gun was empty. No cartridges in my gun mate. Haven't greased a car nipple since 1976 so there followed ten minutes of filling the gun with grease up to my arm pits and once filled enough grease oozing out of the arm to underseal the underneath.
I showed it who's the boss..for now.

Back when I was working at Toyota dealer ship in the 80s doing routine services, the ball joints had a screw plug that we were required to remove and fit a grease nipple to so as we could pump it with happy fat, then remove the nipple and replace the plug. Why they just didn't leave the nipple there I don't know!

Now I binned all those bastard manual fill and leaver grease guns years ago and replaced them with pistol grip cartridge guns, one for each type of grease, but I also have  pneumatic and battery gun too, we still have grease nipples in industry and there must be about 15 of the bastards on my Jag! The TR7 and the ute have some too

I remembet those grease points well. I think the last car I greased was your very favourite Toyota model of all time..a 1500cc Corona..I know you are very fond of that model..😉
That's why my grease gun is past its best. You are far too organised Cobber in having grease guns with cartridges and even different greases contained within. I'm impressed.
I will pass on your regards the next time I see a Corona 😉

Alec, to answer your question, yes the 3 holes are already there. You won't have to drill any new holes

Joe_Pineapples:
You said: "Ordererd goodridge hoses,"
2 cautionary tales you should think about:

I also bought & fitted Goodridge braided hoses.  My local garage fitted them before the MOT, because I do not possess a pressure or vacuum bleed kit and O.K., I was feeling lazy!
They said they were not happy about the FRONT hoses, and actually took them off and re-fitted my old rubber hoses.  They said that the front hoses should have an anti-rotation feature, as per the OEM hoses:

The relevant "anti-rotation" feature is on the extreme right in this picture.
I overcame this deficiency, using twisted, plastic-coated wire to provide a restraint.

I am not convinced that this is really necessary, but without this, on one side, as the banjo nut is tightened, the braided hose tends to move AWAY from the bleed nipple, which would leave the hose under tension at some combinations of full-lock and full suspension travel.  NOT GOOD!
The other point which worried me enough to change all the stainless steel banjo bolts to these:

The reason being that when I tried using the St Steel bolts this happened:

And before anyone asks, I did tighten it with a good torque wrench, which I checked immediately with a luggage weighing scale applied at 12" from the axis. (makes the maths easy to check a ft.lb torque)
I believe that st. steel has far lower tensile strength than high tensile steel.  The St steel bolt design is, IMO, a poor design because the fluid transfer hole is drilled through, rather than being a single sided hole as in the both the OEM bolts I removed, AND the new bolts pictured above.  The through hole deprives the critical area, Where it failed, of twice the cross-section area, thus greatly increasing the tensile and shear stresses in that zone.

It is possible that the garage who used those same bolts in their initial fitting of the front hoses, may have overtightened the bolts, but we will never know at what point those bolts started to yield. it was still intact when I tried to use it, but only just.

This is a valid point, I have some OEM stainless unions which have by on & off & torqued to the appropriate value; I will look at them. The other point with the fancy hoses is some are too short. If you look at the picture of the union trussed up with wire you will notice that 180* from the exit of the banjo, there is a gap in the casting. That is to fix the position of the hose to prevent rotation; some pipes are too short to be able to dress the hose correctly through that gap & up to the body mounting connector.
