Fitted a heavy duty alternator to my neighbours Goldwing and sorted out his brake lights,
Fixed my low coolant warning system .
And then went to my mates and  cleaned our cars .

Went for a 50 mile(ish) drive around the Scottish Borders in the sunshine - all good, and fitted some new Bosch wipers. (Just incase I get caught out and it rains when I'm already out - she doesn't go out in the rain)

Dropped the front subframe off the tf for a full refurb, it's going quite well so far and this time I thought I would try some of the bilt hamber products...no complaints so far and the results look good. I'm hoping that tomorrow I can get the new brake lines in and the calipers painted ready to put it all back together for the weekend.
I  also had a go at a diy rear screen replacement, if it works I will post some photos..

That's a lot of work!
It seems to be going well. What BH products are you using? I take it you are painting the subframe and then protecting it?
Pics or it didn't happen! 😁

I use Phosphate 80 too and found it to work well.
Hope everything goes to plan.

Reburbished the SRS from seats to ECU. Cleaned and painted the seat part and burned the red tab to recover some color as suggested by Darren.
Rerouted and protected the underseat and floor wiring and changed the red connectors.
De-rusted and painted the ECU tray and took the chance to do the same to the bars behind the dash (posterior side, at least)
Looking much neater now 😊😊

Getting rid of the original red connectors had to be an improvement & other than one aspect, which may be of importance, I approve of the connector chosen.
The second generation under seat SRS connector has a link mechanism which shorts out the send to return when the system is disconnected. I don’t know how significant this is, probably not at all but it is something to be aware of, if you notice anything odd.

Thank you AP, I haven’t noticed anything weird. Maybe that could happen with Pektron SRS connectors, the yellow ones?
I asked here if they were compatible with my Lucas electronics, as I have a pair in very good condition, but Roverlike said NO and that was enough for me 😂👌🏽

I’m not going to argue if Roverlike had pronounced, nor would I anticipate any problems, I tend to think “down the track”, if there were to be something adrift later, then I’ve already given it a cerebral once over.
