Looking at photos of Fuel pumps and removal today, I thought ours looked different than some:
Notice the different electrical connector - I couldn't get this unplugged - any tips?
As this is a 2004 TF so right on the changeover year - looks like i may have a mish-mash of left over parts in this car. Also the MGF sticker on the fuel pump - unusual or nothing to concern myself about?

I DO hope i've not done something daft like put the spark plug leads back on the wrong way around:

on the plus side, the spare wheel bags and door handles have turned up today:
so at least thats something going right for a change!
Oh, and while listening to see if the fuel pump 'whirred' for 2 sec's to prime, the car started first time last night after turning the key...
I'm not falling for that again!
