Thanks Glyn..but you also don't know therules of our household..I'm the only one of us that knows where the washing up liquid is kept!!

Of course I know how to use it on the rim..🙄 so in fact your contribution was worthless..😁

Well it is day 9 of my 2 day delivery of this thermostat.
I bought it from MG Mania on 27th June. Postage was FOC: Courier 48hr Delivery.
"Arriving 1-8th July" so there's a confliction in terms.
It was posted on 29th June with no tracking details.
Although I can only guess who the carrier is I think Everi one knows who it is likely to be..see what I did there?
I have cleaned the block, painted the metal pipe, brushed through what hoses I can and prepared the inlet face for the gasket, cleaned the loom...just need a blinking thermostat.

I suspect you are right.Every nightmare.
I needed a wheel nut and bought “an item” with more than one in the deal. That was over a week ago and according to e-what’s it it says not yet dispatched and that the are using simple delivery. That was a new process to me but apparently it can be anyone of three or four companies.
Im not impressed.
No communication, no update, no nothing except my credit card is now minus the cost of the item.
On the positive side you have got Evri thing prepared.
Lets hope your door locks still work!

I see what you did there too 😁
I would rather be given an option on postage costs and have a choice. If I choose FOC then it's on me.
I hope you get your wheel nut soon.
Good luck with your doors. I gave my Superlock the snip. I never felt a thing.

All urgent parcels have to be OK’d at Thurso & need a Redruth postmark, once transportation is agreed then all is well & good. Your items should be with you shortly. There’s a lot to be said for keeping a stock of items which are notable failure points, this has payed dividends on more than the odd occasions.
It was MOT morning this morning, last night the brake light switch failed, I had a replacement & now I have a fresh MOT certificate.
The way delivery is these days I would have had to cancel for at least a week.
I’m not advocating carrying your own stores (I have a long history of DIY car service & have ended up with lots of items) but items which are inexpensive & consumable are worth having.

Well done on the new MOT!
Did you mean Truro?
Thurso is a bit norf of Redruth.
I agree about parts stock. I still have Toyota stock but I gave my Mazda stock to the young man who bought the MX5.
Rover are new to me.
This is the first time I have had a repair really. I have just done maintenance and rustproofing.
I now have spare coils, leads and wiper motor and good std pads.
Slowly getting there!

There's stuff still laying about for cars I haven't had for 40 odd bloody years!
Every now and then I come across someone who has one and they get loaded up with spares, workshop manuals and special tools......whether they want them or not!

"Keep calm, relax, focus on the problem & PULL THE BLOODY TRIGGER"

You could throw a parcel from Truro to Redruth, it would be hardly worth any procrastination or inconvenience caused.
The MOT inspector recommended my looking at the poor efficiency of the washer pump, I’ve had a look & found one to modify, whilst looking through stores, I found a new thermostat! I’ve had a PRT for years.
And like Cobber & his clobber I’d love to give it away.
