Today was the day to tackle the rear floor, both sides were rusty and the return at the bottom of the bulkhead was decidedly secondhand.

O/S Rear Floor

N/S Rear Floor

I cut out the offending rust and removed most of the return on the O/S

Welded in a new return

I welded in the repair panel and also seam-welded where the bulkhead meets the floor to ret and prevent any future water ingress.

I removed the N/S Floor and all of the return and welded in a new return

Made a repair panel, clamped it in and then ran out of gas, so its all on hold, untill i can remember where i got the last bottle from.

The fule tank sits right on top of this panel, i drained it, but i think i will remove it once i have the car back down on the ground just to make sure i havent weakened it.

Not in the top league of jobs compared to others on here.
Took off the throttle cable, put an 8mm split tube on it and hose clip reducing leakage.
Sprayed lots of GT85 in to the tube and repeated after bubbles replaced the lube.
Easy job which I hope will make throttle control a bit easier.

They are a general parts merchant. Their USP is price, not quality but for their market place the products do the job. Those items I have had from them have worked fine, they are however never put to the test of continuous general usage. That sounds a little disparaging; the coil packs I fitted to a C1 are still working fine after a fair millage,

Thanks AP.
I will give them the once over. The coil packs on the car are working but they are 24 yrs old and I noticed wear when I changed the plugs.

Not a great week 😕
I have the blue TF up for sale and the passenger window was a bit slow so I took the door card off and spayed some grease on the runners. It didn't help and the motor decided to stop working 😒
Replacement should be here tomorrow.
I was getting ready to  go to work this morning and a young lady asked if I was the owner of the green car in the  car park..
My next project just got much worse.

Really sorry to see that. Just what you don't need right now.
Although it is fixable it's such a pain to gather the parts together and do a job that wasn't on your list.
Good luck.

Well at least she fessed up to it!
So many would do a reasonable impression of a blacksmith............by quickly making a bolt for the door!

Fitted the replacement window regulator today and all is well with the TF.
This car is so much fun to drive and it sounds awesome..so I have decided to keep it, this didn't go down well with my better half 🙂 🙃
I have a  headlight and wing for the green F but I'm banned from working on it until I sell one of the others
That's probably fair as I currentiy have 4 Fs plus the TF.
