Wocha bin doin on your MG this week then? 6 years 2 months ago #183995

Today i noticed the little rubber cap thats at the rear of the door near the window was missing on mine, so I drove 25 miles to a scrap yard, climbed up on top of two cars and managed to get one off a tf perched up there, drove 25 miles home and then discovered that it wasn't missing, it had rotated on the little clip and was still there. :bang:

Thread revival time again.

Not done much... Other than collect Sue from The Aged Mother in Law. Sue can't drive at the mo due to back problems so the Longbridge Legacy has mostly sat on the drive. I dropped her off in the furndy wurndy Volvuurrr then did some shopping for w'tea, then went home to throw some stuff in the slow cooker. Time to collect Sue and kiss the Ma in Law on the cheek. Old married men will know the heroism required for this.
Without detracting from the heroism of our forefathers.... give me a Normandy beach as an alternative. I'll storm that.

Folded the hood back and enjoyed a six mile hoon through leafy Leics lanes. Glad we had a no hardtop winter. 3 degrees outside, heater on max. Then six miles back. With a soundtrack comprising ' aww, stop thrashing my little car...'
Makes up for the frustration, expense, lost skin and HGF. Mostly....

May even give it a wash tomorrow.
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

You need to adjust the volume control......:bust:

It didn't need reviving, at this time of year it is just slower than at warmer times. :frosty:

Yesterday I did more prep and paint of the rear TF subframe.

I also painted the TF front subframe brace tubes and the TF under dash brace.
I now need to work out a clever way of fitting the under dash brace to my F without welding the brackets onto the cross car tube.

Today I finished the prep and paint, just need to touch it up later when it's fully dry.

Agree with Graham.

Get it all back together, with seats etc and then have another review.

A pair of chrome clock surrounds would top it off nicely :yesnod:
