Encountered two problems with mid engined cars today.
First one being the frozen washer jets. No engine to defrost them.
Second one, is reversing onto drive wheels spinning.

That's not just a problem on a mid engine, happens on most cars.

I put my washer fluid in neat & it doesn't freeze even in this weather.

Use the "ready to use" -20degC screen-wash from halfords.

Acts as a de-icer when frost on the screen :yesnod:

Checked the screenwash today, it was frozen in the reservoir
I think last time I filled it, it was no longer picking up, and added a litre of concentrate to whatever was there before. It's always been really strong smelling, I'm sure i haven't diluted it.
Think I'll stick to decent stuff in future rather than the "Williams racing" stuff I picked up cheap. 😂

Bought a couple of these anodised oil caps which arrived the other day, will put them both on when the weather warms up a bit.

Yep, discovered this our first winter of TF joy. Purged the weak stuff by lifting the bonnet, disconnecting the pipe from the jets and operating the washers. Reconnected and filled with -20 degree green gargoyle j*zz. No probs since.
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
