Working on the black steptronic prior to the run to Gretna on Sunday. The passenger side door lock jammed solid. I'm too old and fat to climb through the window. Gerry needless to say fixed it by studying one of the spare doors we have acquired. All good now. This will be the first real test for our scrapyard motor. I've every confidence we'll make it but being a pragmatist I'll take the A.A card just in case. See you all in Gretna.

Some say that they're 'big boned'. Never seen a fat skeleton though.....:yesnod:

I've been doing the same on much of my car.

Did you remove the rubber parts or just paint around it?

Smothered them in vaseline, sprayed the paint. Wiped off.

Trying to install Autobush poly bushings in the wishbones. The bushings went in the wishbone easy enough but I spent over an hour trying to get the bolt hole aligned, just couldn't get the holes aligned well enough to allow the bolt to mate with the captive nut. I gave up and had a beer. I'll try again tonight.
