Does anyone know how difficult it is to get a new windscreen ? and roughly how much they are 
Mine is the 1.8 VVC one ..
I popped over to Johns yesterday and had a stone hit mine, its only a tiny crack, but I now have two
So I am just weighing up replacing rather than claiming on my insurance and paying the excess ...

Check your insurance, you will probably find that there is a Autoglass free repair option, but get it done soon before they grow.

My flippin renewal is in May, so I hope it does not go up too much as a result

Phoned autoglass today and they are coming out tomorrow to do the repair, and best of all if they cannot, I get a new windscreen, and I have no excess 
I hope they have them in stock if my crack is to big

so I get a new windscreen tomorrow morning
My toy has also arrived, so I will be trying that out at the weekend if the fog ever lifts
