It went floppy because you kept tugging to hard on it

So visually it would appear to be not dissimilar to the original

Apropos of not very much, that MGB is on a Buckinghamshire registration plate. It looked like ir was painted "Harvest Gold" which is a 70s colour and legal for a chrome bumper car. We had a company car in that colour, a 1.8 Marina in fact, same engine as the MGB.
Actually, looking at the flashed image of that B it may be "Primrose Yellow" which is a 60s colour and could be good for a pre year suffix plate which would be 1962 for an MGB.

Well as already stated the gearbox is fab, short and very selective ..
Clutch is soft and light with no nasty reverse problems..
Feel happy that the cambelt service is done and out of the way, and that the rear brake pipes were spotted and done before the MOT ..
Please check your subframe bolts, one of mine had snapped, and the others were corroding, not something most of us would check ..
I have got rid of the locking wheel nuts and put a new set of oem spinners on all round, the old ones [12 months) are in excellent condition if any one is looking for 12 ? Any money to Johns Dog Fund ..

I have a full window surround set in cream with visors, I had replaced mine with black, possibly use for a plastic spray mod like LuckyMarines ??!!
So if anyone is interested let me know, money again to Johns Dog Fund...
