No chance of that happening now.

Something like this happened a few months ago....

Sharp Scratch!
(Ben jumps in horror / cold sweat).
Lots of clicky clamping noises and scalpels and stiching)
Massive Cohonies for a few week with much discomfort.

Now I have a gun with no bullets!

Sorry to revive this old thread but I've been looking at 'the other' car options for when the TF is MOT'd and flogged.

Got it down to one of these Kia jobbies or a Seat Alhambra, VW Sharan. Or Chrysler grand voyager.

Realistically looking at between £1500 - £1800 budget.

Over the Zafira these look a bigger beast meaning more people riding in comfort when needed.

Am I in budget?

Why not a nice late model Diesel Range Rover P38?

My one has cost less than £100 in the last year for parts of the LPG system.

Hi Fellow MG People,

I'm on the road to non MG Ownership it is confirmed now...

So back to my mahooooosive car choices.

I've got it down to a few now.

A bit bonus for me would be for a sliding door, this is not essential but would be a bonus.

So I have refined my choices to (not in any order).

VW Sharan / Seat Alhambra
Peugeot 807 / Citroen C8
Crystler Grand Voyager
Kia Sedona
Ford Galaxy

Of these cars the Peugeot, Citroen, Kia and Crystler have sliding doors.

I dont know a lot about Kias except Diesel Destroyer has one.

I'm tempted to go peugeot or citroen but like with most internetting you only hear the bad stories, something about a FAB, special oil needed for something and electrics have been done by Stevie Wonder. All cars if not looked after and serviced properly brake down, i put it down to user neglect.

I know the VW will be the most reliable but I can get a much newer model of the others.

Theres also a Fiat Utlesse which is a copy of the peugeot / citroen. But... People say don't go french, they eat horses and snails and smell garlicky... Oh no thats the people not their cars doh! Local garage says don't touch french unless I want to pay for him to go on many holidays with my money.. But I have had a good experience with 3 peugeots so far.

My budget is not massive looking at between £1500 to £1800.

My mileage will not be massive as it will do probable 10k a year at the very most, but if it does the same as the MG has it will be under 5k.

What would you do?

Over to the more experienced car folk.

I'm 31 going on 70.

But... This won't be the end of MG'ing yet I will still hang about with intent to answer questions for a bit longer.

I must get a photos of the twins in the MG before its sold.
