After seeing a few cars now I've got it down to three models.

1. VW Sharan 1.9 TDI or 1.8 Turbo
2. Seat Alhambra 1.9 TDI or 1.8 Turbo
3. Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDI .

I have seen loads of Kia with problems and parts are mega expensive.

So now doing some finding of cars. Keep your eyes out.

Yes it is.. But slightly different trims.

I like turbos and the 1.8t engine in these is 150bhp. I wont be doing mega mileage so I can have a little fun smiling .

Absolutely not a VW Passat, yes it's powerful, loads of space, great on fuel.

But: 2 service exchange gearboxes, one dual mass flywheel and clutch assy, one fuel pump (PD engine) and an electronic handbrake problem which the main agent could never fix over the time we had it (booked in 4 or 5 times for software/hardware updates) recalls for injectors/wiring loom issues.

It's now gone, there is far too much complex technology in the car which sometimes even the main agent struggles to fix.

It's now been replaced with a 10 plate Suzuki SZ5, hopefully good Japanese build quality and reliability.
We have only had it 2 weeks but we have high hopes for it to be far more reliable than the VW.
