So true! I used to see cars at Rover up to their axles in water for ages before being shipped to the unsuspecting new owners.
I'm guilty of buying a brand new Rover 214 sei (old shape) on the employees scheme when I worked there too. Me, the wife and kids loved that car. But what put concerned me was one of the factory floor workers offerred to go with me when I picked it up. So that he could show me all the faults on it and then I could get a better deal. Brand new cars! Never again! :pinch:

I do happen to understand how car sales work and I think 2 years would be stretching it a little......
Anyway, didn't LE 500 production start in 2008, or have I got that wrong as well?
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

A good point, although I think they mean new as in not been owned by anyone

I wonder if John would confirm the mileage for us
No I am not being picky, and yes it is still a great car and at £20 it will be, to an MG buff, like winning the lottery

The opposite of this may be closer to the truth. I have bought 8 cars in the last 12 years. I can't vouch for the current RCZ as I bought it at 3 months old but I 100% believe it was factory fresh when it arrived at the dealer. Of the other 7 cars, 6 of them were built to order and the other car was a pre-registered MG ZR that had probably been sat in a field somewhere.
