ooooooooooh someone is going to get :spank:

Anyone who is anyone is a member of the Official* Mg3, 5 and 6 Forum. Its the place to be.

I heard it was very scary on there :sofa:

It's full of depraved foul mouthed in jokes .... however, bear in mind they gave John Newey a fair hearing, and all egos are left at the door. No exceptions,.... oh, and also unlike 'another' place, they don't host an 18+ section that would make your toes curl.

Language aside, the lack of egos and sense of fair play are two principles that you'd recognise immediately. :broon:

Just a thought. has anyone on here bought a ticket and since obtained a refund following the non draw at MGLive?

Alan, if you bought a ticket and did not want to remain in the competition John Newey has offered a refund.

However I know where my £20 is going to stay, not many opportunities out there to win a new MG TF LE 500 for £20.

The thing I find most funny is that the vast majority of people or trolls, depending on which site you read, posting their 'concerns' about this competition haven't even entered it :slapme: If you don't want to buy a ticket and enter the competition that's fine but why try and spoil it for the people who have by the conspiracy theories.

At least one good thing of all the recent interest in this topic was that just after midday Tuesday, ticket sales were just over 600. At this rate the remaining tickets should all be sold ready for someone to take delivery in spring 2013, which sounds like good timing to me :drive:

If Rich should win, I will have the job of ermmmmmmmmmmm posting it to him, I fear a very long postal strike if that is the case ;)

Jan, If I am lucky enough to win I will be putting it up for sale immediately at ten grand. :omg:
As for the delay, John wasn't the only one who thought the tickets would sell out quicker than they did (didn't?)
I thought they would be snapped up immediately. :nonod:
Like with any lottery I enter I don't really expect to win and mentally write off the money as soon as it's sent.
I hope I'm wrong! (crossing fingers and toes!)

I didn't say I wanted a refund. I just wondered if any one had. I've read the thread on here and the first 5 pages of the one on .org but then I got bored f reading why people haven't bought tickets. If sales have gone from 550 to 600 in a few days then we could have a draw next month if sales continue at that rate. :woohoo:

Wow! Just read all your posts, I'll go through them and try and answer all your questions later today. Haven't been on mg-rover.org for sometime (my password doesn't work at home?) and been too busy here! I'll reply later.

Just spent the last couple of hours reading and replying to the thread on mg-rover.org. I have no idea why the thread was deleted, but I've put a response and I'll do my best to answer folks questions on here now too.
1) It's not a raffle, it's a skill based competition and 19 entries so far have an incorrect answer.
2) This very special MG TF LE500 No.1 of 500 is still brand new and unregistered and it's value is the same as it always was.
3) I notified all the forums where the competition had been advertised that the draw date had been postponed. I have now decided to have a DEFINITE draw date at this years MG Live! in June 2013 (date not 100% confirmed yet).
4) The car is fully insured and if "destroyed" then the winner would have £16999 in lieu of the car.
5) Hadn't been on mg-rover.org for some time (can't get my password to work at home).
6) I'll try to monitor responses over the coming days and answer any questions.
Hope this answers your questions and if anyone would like to enter or enter again, then give me a call on 01384 259555 (option 4).
Regards

Oh and additional to item 3), if I haven't got the required entry by that date, then the draw will STILL go ahead. (Sorry, missed that bit!)

Thanks John, as far as i'm concerned thats clarified the situation. Are you still giving £250 back to the person who bought the most tickets?

If a jobs worth doing, it's worth overdoing
