Today, we've had a red dash (too dark), a blue dash (nice but didn't match anything else) and finally settled on white dash with matching white mirror & footwell lights.

haha - it's good to tinker!

Ive lost my sense of humour with the poor dash illumination and am seriously thinking of buying an assembly from a suitably small sport car (MX5 for example is a nice set up) and seeing if the assembly can be shoe horned and wired accordingly into my TF.
Ive got a spare TF assembly and its pretty simple. I reckon the basic functions wont be an issue, as long as the signals for the speedo and tach work. The cable inputs are similar from what I can see.
They aren't that expensive off EBay, so Ive only got a few hundred to loose for an entertaining weekend of playing.
The binnacle surround needs to be factored in and mounts modified etc.
Nothing to loose in trying, and Ill document the whole procedure if it can be made to work.

Best wishes all.

Ken

Hi David.
Sorry mate, they just don't float my boat!
I much prefer the look of a modern dash illumination, hence my looking at replacement instruments option. If it doesn't fit, I'll just get a bigger hammer!

Best Wishes David.
