Hi,

My Uncle bought a rover coupe 1994/96 (bought from Italy) Now to get the MOT, we have to fix the SRS/airbag-light..

Have one (P-scan) and happy with it :broon: But will it work on this car as well ?

- i haven't seen the car or diagnostic-plug yet, but was told it has 4 pins ? Could that be right ?

Best regards,
Henrik Jensen -Denmark-

Unlikely, but I do have some Rover 800 ECUs in the lab to play with.
If you can photograph the connector then that would help.

Ok,

The test connector, i am told, should be a square 4 pin (probably the same as in an early Discovery) i will try to get a picture, one of the next days

Also found this: land Rover Disco1, RR Classic and early RR-P38 is apparently using the same system...

Hope it helps.

I believe that there are two different SRS systems (early and late). I think that I have a late ECU to play with but an early one.
I will have to have a look.
This will probably take a while I'm afraid.

Thats fine, also, it will probably could help some one in future.... -Also for diagnostic on early Range/Land-rover :broon:

This one was fixed for now, a land-Rover-collegue have an old aftermarked Range/land-Rover tester that could work with it, it was tested as an Range-Rover Classic 1995/96 -that was able to pull 3 codes,

-2 intermitent, regarding low voltage, probably regarding an earlier bad battery, or some one forgot to remove key before pulling battery terminal.

-1 pressent, regarding "Clock-spring-connector" to steeringwheel. - for now disconnected and a resistor in harness to set lamp off, for an MoT. later to be fixed correct.

(there are some stating that a coupler for a range rover fits and works correct, dispite harness colors are different)

Did your friend connect through the four pin connector in the picture that you posted above?
