Question regarding a part - magnetic fender cover 1 week 5 days ago #206623

Does anyone know if this fits an MGF / TF? If yes, is it for the front or rear? I have never seen one of these before.

My guess is it’s a service protector for an MGB or car of that vintage.
It would wrap around the front & wings to prevent a mechanics oily overalls & tools damaging the car as he (or she) inspects the engine.
Not much good for us then, or possibly MGB281, Notanumber, Brian Young & other two MG households might find a use.

I agree that it is a service protector. I don't think its for an MGB. If not MGF then perhaps an MG ZR?

Yes I think you’re right with the Z cars (one for the oldies), it’s much to twenty first century & the logo is large & prominent When MGB were being serviced the best that could be hoped for would be an old candle wick bedspread chucked over the wings.
Sorry Bryan I was thinking of the B owners who frequent these hallowed halls & to exclude you would have been poor form.

No matter what it fits, I wouldn’t use it in a pink fit, if it’s magnetic it will attract all the stay swarf, filings and grinder dust from around the workshop and then grind them into you paint work………. Nah I’ll give it the big swerve!
