Good morning,

I recently added loudspeakers to the rear of my MG TF 115. I'm satisfied with the result.

I'm now curious to know what the other wires in the attached picture are for.

These wires are located below the central armrest, when you remote the "drop-the-coin box".

I can help you with what those white twin flex wires jammed in to the yellow plug are……. An abortion, afterthought, amateur hour piece of wiring work!
There is a very high likelihood of those loose wires getting fouled on something and just pullout of either the plug or the awful crimp terminals if that’s what they are, hopefully they’re not just wires twisted at the end and poked into the plug with a bit of tape on ‘em.
In fact they are just as likely to fall out of their own accord with vibration.

You’d be better off cutting off the yellow plug and throwing it to the shithouse, then start again using a proper plug set, tie all that loose spaghetti mess up with cable ties or bind it with tape. And remember solder and heat shrink tubing are your friends.

It never ceases to amaze me how often I see crap wiring jobs just adding to a car’s unreliability. And how often the culprit that did it complains that their car is broken again.

And if you think I’m lecturing, think yourself lucky my in-house auto electrician didn’t see it….he’d go absolutely berserk!

Actually, the "crap" is my job. I just connected the rear wires to see if any sounds came out. And it does. Now that it works, I'll do a clean job.

My question was about the other wires, with a decent pod. Might be for the coffee machine, who knows :

One day closer to spring and outings and it makes a difference !

That other connector is for alarm volumetric sensor.
