Anyone dealt with this code p1487 egrchk solenoid malfunction? I cleared it down but it keeps reappearing
Car runs okay. It's a 2005 mgtf 1.6. Thanks in advance

I am puzzled, I thought that EGR valves are on diesel engines.

this is a specific K-series code caused by the engine bay temp sensor, providing info about about the engine getting too hot (or faulty sensor).

Engine bay temperature sensor appears to be the culprit.
