Just hunted ebay and found Maestro 2.0 turbo disc ....240mm solid or vent so its possible they did a 280mm

Hmmm loads of 280mm four studs on ebay.....just need to track the right one down and whereeeee offfff

thinking about it as long as the centre/rear fits, the stud pattern and outer centre

Then the actual off set of the disc/depth from front to back, can be accounted for in the thinkness off the caliper spacer

Right call me a looney I don't care but these look so simple, I've just got back from the fabricators on another matter....OOOoooo cant keep my mouth shut on that either, Quad pipes for my TT mk4

Anyway I thought how much would it cost to have a real pro make these spacers

His estimate £12-£15 each plate so a max of £30 a set, just need to track these discs now, an lets say they cost £70 for drilled an grooved

£100 all in

You will probably need spigots and, unless you get discs with the correct pcd, you will need to machine the correct holes for the wheel studs and disc retaining screws. Also adding the stainless bolts etc and you aren't too far from the amount I paid. Worth a go though.

Would be interesting if you could get the correct PCD 280mm discs.

Doing a bit of research, I think that the biggest standard MGR disc with the same PCD is 262mm. So for e.g. a MGR 214 front disc should be a 262mm vented disc with the same pcd, bore etc.

Would that make enough difference to be worth the effort?:dunno:

If VHS's 266mm disk conversion is worth £395 then it's got to be :yesnod: What's 4mm between friends

I wonder how these vented discs would fit?

In theory they should, maybe need a spigot ring?

i seem to have missed all this lol, tbh for £100/£150 would be worth it for looks lone really... unless your topping 200bhp like some of us nutters and want to be serious about major upgrades

btw clive something struck me earlier... think it was an piano... anyway if anyone can remember that V-TEC powered ZR that was on a thread a while ago... well that had AP-Racing MGF/TF calipers on it both front AND back... and as it was a rally car it must have had a road legal handbreak, if i had time i'd have a look at it but i don't until tomorrow, may be worth asking them how they did it... that way the back breaks would be a "free" upgrade to 4 pots and a 6 pot kit could be bought for the front

Worth looking at, but I can't see how they can convert the APs to a mechanical handbrake. I thought rally cars could have hydraulic handbrakes, but not too sure.

I'm not sure that I would like that much braking at the rear to be honest, might make it a bit tail happy under heavy braking.
