Hi, my 98 VVC F last night decided to randomly loose its speedo reading, when it did it also started to make a regular click under the passenger side dash relative to the road speed, also the steering went really right on the left side and pulled slightly left...... any ideas? Thanks

Sounds like a broken Speedo cable perhaps

If it has power steering, it takes a signal from the speedo, so that will explain the stiffness.

Have only ever known the rear section of the speedo cable, which plugs into the gearbox, fail.

Recommend NEW from MGFnTFBITZ for around £50

The EPAS ECU is under the dash on the passenger side so I guess where that was where the clicking was coming from.

Did the EPAS light come up on the dash?
