I did better than that, my Sierra needed a new engine at 40,000 miles, it was pressurising the crankcase and blowing oil out of the dip stick tube and filler cap, bloody numpty in Ford dealership said it was because i had been driving it on the motorway at constant speeds too long, gearbox was rebuilt at 10,000 miles as third gear was whining, as it was badly made when new, then selectors went, could get the gear stick in a position in between 2nd & 3rd gear but no gear engaged and the gearstick jammed solid!!!! then the clutch disintergrated , just left with a butterfly shaped bit of friction plate. worst Ford that I ever had, Leasing company took it away and i had to order a new car .
