This all looks very promising.

Hope to buy one when they become available and I have some spare cash.

Got my kit on Monday and ordered a cheap Linux based laptop from ebay that arrived today. All connected up, all appears to work as described.

Cleared some historical codes and watched some live data though not sure what the readings are supposed to be just yet. Anyone know what the correct values are for the following table for example?

I take it you don't have a cold air feed.

I have an enclosed cone filter with the intake routed just in front of the gearbox because I didn't want the hassle of removing the resonator box. One day I may get around to bringing it out to the side air intake. The car was stationary while logging so there wasn't any air flow. I'm guessing that this explains the quite high intake temp.

The ones I'm really interested in are the intake manifold pressure, fuel/air mixture and oxygen sensor voltage, all at idle.

Apart from clearing DTC's is it possible to change any values or is it EEPROM read only? i.e. can you re-set/switch off the service indicator? (SAIC/NAC)

Resetting the service indicator on SAIC/NAC TFs is still on Philips plan...the ability to do this was the single most important feature of the kit for me...the problem is that the indicator is stored in the instrument binnacle and protected by significant encryption..as you would expect of a component which stores mileage information...I know Philip has been working on adding this functionality to his kit but it isn't a trivial undertaking. That being said I am confident he will resolve it even if it takes a while...

Not currently...although Rob Bell has discussed with Philip getting a live data feed from it for track days and sprints/hill climbs...

So there is definitely a desire to develop the functionality further but it's early days yet..

Maybe best to direct suggestions for further development direct to Philip..He does have a presence here.

Finally got an old Dell Lappy working on Ubuntu again so tried out my diagnostic kit and got these results:

4 error codes
P0481 J1979:Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit Malfunction
P0118 Coolant temperature sensor, signal too high
P0655 J1979:Engine Hot Lamp Output Control Circuit Malfucntion
P1487 J1979:EGRCHK Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

I cleared them and did some live data tests and then checked again and got the following back:
P0481 J1979:Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit Malfunction
P0655 J1979:Engine Hot Lamp Output Control Circuit Malfucntion

Any idea if they're bad or somethign to do with Felix's 'hunting'?

Also the live data was as follows:

Is it all normal?

I have a lot of Rover specific error codes going into the next release. Watch out for an upgrade. There is at least one error code that always appears even if a car is 100% healthy. From memory it's 0481.
