Has anyone fitted a permanent boot rack?

I like the idea of one being in all the time, but wondered if it affects wind flow/noise

Thanks
Simon

I have a permanent one on my F you do not notice any increase in wind noise. I do take it off in the winter and stainless plugs go in the holes

I have one on the MG that I bought so I can't compare, but I never heard any noise of it.

The only one thing is you have to get used to it when you look over your shoulder (parking or reverse driving). First times you think that there's some biker or something just behind your car! But I'm used to it now.

Went for the 'MG' Rack for bike transportation...along with a pair of Exodus (Thule) cycle rails. Works a treat. It did mark the boot, but that was down to my clumsiness rather than the rack. I only use it for bikes so the rails stay attached to the rack meaning I only have to undo two allen bolts to remove the whole unit as one. Roof folds down no problem with bikes on and I can open the boot enough to get access with bikes on.
Oh and sorry I haven't been on the forum for ages. Redundancy and other life issues have got in the way over the past 12 months. A timely email from the forum reminded me to log on. Hopefully I'll become a more frequent user again. I see the decor has changed a lot since my last visit.

Nice to hear from you, Rog! :yesnod:

Yep we re-decorated. Check the new sofas, they're very comfy.

I have the key to the drinks cupboard though. :bust:
