Really dirty dipstick since a week, and Loss of water....

My coolant worn hose PEH 100900 (850?) being taped since December the 1st (MGF Reborn didn't replace it as I was in Poole), no water was leaking but I may suppose the coolant inner pressure of the circuit may have become faulty????
........
and right now, fuel needle on dash stuck down.............
Any fuse or else to check, please?

Inserting my OBD2 report:
Fuel trim malfunction, yes, but
- What are the "line 1" & "bank 2", please?

4 months is a long time for emergency repair tape. I have to pop out right now. Google the codes - info here & here

Do you have these downloaded yet? Good, info there too. It will maybe give you advice on your needle being stuck too.:yesnod:

Can you get a trace of the lambda probe from your tool?

Do you have any drivability issues?

There are a few things with the potential to cause this, however in the first instance if you have no drivability issues to reset the fault and see if returns.

Regards,
Andy

Dirty creamy oil and loss of coolant sounds like head gasket failure...

Aye. And if it is leaking coolant into the cylinders this can cause the misfire code...

Well, indeed, my worn pipe had probably been self colmated with the tape, no water came out during nights (a piece of cardboard under the engine keeping dry)...
But rather suddenly (a week) dipstick was full of mayo and quite a lot of water ran out (I drive for less than 10 miles per day)...

I did use tap water for a time (in December) because of the leak (coolant hose PEH 100850 or 900).
Has it grinded the HG?
How stupid I am, in Burgundy where any HG replacement is at 1200-1500€ (£1000).
Shall I be able to drive to Kent (where from the car came in 2011), and ask for a Russel's mobile service in few weeks in Dover area?...
> Is the car driveable for 500 miles in that condition, please?

My 1st attempt of 1998 MGF VVC had learnt me a lot (8 bent exhaust valves, head asked for recon, workshop unable to put back the cam carrier and set the timing of the mechs)... Patience too, cambelt gone end of January, head out in April, back on car at the end of September.
And stil no customer to get rid of it.
So, I may drive it to the contrôle technique (MOT)
whenever I get the two alternator mountings of the non air con cars (I didn't want the compressor sytem that even was not connected)...
It's still money to spend (CT + insurance...) and work (headlight lenses to swap for continental drive) on very rusty bumper screws!!!!!!!!!

Well, some free programs I found have plenty of options... but I'm not sure about Lambda sensor!
Indeed, some misfire, car remaining movable.......
Don't feel safe anyhow these days!

As is telling Supercover, I guess the origin is mayo oil & water in cylinders.....????.......

If you drive the car with Mayo instead of oil you will do more damage to the engine. :hgf:

Perhaps Jon Norris or Russell would come to you if you pay expenses.
They have both done head gasket work in Europe before.

I feel like being a cool guy having more time than money (although present in family / widow mother keeping it!), and I would enjoy to offer a couple of week over here if holiday time, warmer than today..........
- but, to ask for someone to drive 1000 miles to work for me, and go back straight after, seems a bit strange.
What about the travel expense?

Russell flew to Germany to do a head gasket.
Obviously the travel cost would need to be agreed before.

Woooah...... and what about its tools to carry?
I got some here, of course, and am friendly with nearby mechanics...
Of course, there is not so much damage without split cambelt...
Well, it may remain a 1000€ failure!
