OBD2 error code P0170 since 2 days + creamy oil 11 years 1 month ago #111613

Ask them the question, They can only say no...or yes.
Russell or Jon could probably fly to and from Geneva or Lyon reasonably cheaply. Obviously they would need picked up but there is no reason why not?

726 KM to Dover...

...........

If I could be driving the F for one or two months, find a nice helping hand, a new pleasant home.....
Sure I'll do the job here!
But, not so keen with reusing my bike anymore like between the F failure & purchase of the TF!

Of course, white smoke at the back.
- Just ordered the 2 kits from E-car parts...
Well, I only have to let myself know that I finally found a "job", although mornings are still cold, I 've plenty of time to do that. Stilf afraid to remain unperfect doing that (no actual road test of my first VVC recon).
I'd wished to be able to put on the way the BRG F (- that requires the 2 alternator air-con less mountings), but may ride my bike for 5KM to the next village bar & shop for few days...
Ooops, may require a lift to bring the head to my recon workshop (wishing it could be done when I'm at it, to take it back straight home).

Do not know about PRT to be replaced, by the way the lid is open?
Sparkplugs, Magnecor 8mm HT leads?
________
May check the throttle sensor, what else?
________
To Rough luck:
Won't leave anyone work here alone with the car, because they may miss several bits I know now by my internet readings.
Except at some UK specialists,
So sorry D.C. in Poole was unable to diagnose the "soon to come" failure (thought I crossed the channel to get my wheels aligned, & brakes to be cleaned!!!). Did he caused my HGF because of the hose to cheap to work at it?
Can't afford by now a 500€ trip for any UK mobile mechanic!
________
To Forrester:
I'm 400 miles from Le mans (so, it may take 24H..... joke!)
Genuine ex-Rover agent garage (held by MAZDA-Hyundai in town) charge 1500€ for the head service.
Private garage held by ex-Rover ex-mechanic said 1200...
Retired elder brother of private next village mechanic is supposed to be an ex-Rover, too:
but said he'd be at home yesterday (but wasn't) to see the car to give a quote (nothing to see, indeed) would want the car at his own workshop, work alone & charge for 600-800, guess I.
So, bought the kits (150€), and wait for a helping mate, -couple of days long (I'm a really slow mind & worker!)-
