Mine wasn't too impressive either, and that was on a brand new Intel core i7 computer :(
Due no doubt to my crappy ISP.

and Richies!

The proper BT engineer who re fitted it) after the monkey in a hurry did the first install) measured at 39.2Mb/s at the wall, I am testing it on my wireless touch screen after the signal has travelled 10metres through a £6.99 cat5e cable from Game.

Plugging the laptop into the BT busness hub gave 32Mb/s at 7.30 in the evening.

I am quite pleased with this. :)

Looks like I'm winning in the slow broadband stakes, with Rich a close second.

I thought my speed problem may be due to my wireless connection so I tried plugging the laptop directly in to the modem to see if things improve.

been playing sonic on the 360 tonight, reminds me of the early net with dial up and 14 Kb/s!

And the massive phone bills!

Want to try living where I am. I'm pulling in a massive 112 kb download at the moment. BT are pushing infinity and they can't even supply basic 1 meg to a lot of people. If I want to watch the you tube clips on here I either have to wait til I get into work or put it on pause for half an hour and wait. Wouldn't be so bad if they gave you a discount for having such a crappy service.

You could try Satellite Broadband, Costing is close and doesn't require a phone line anymore
