Just acquired my 1st MG TF (1.6 Sunstorm) having been told by the family that I'm too old to be riding motorcycles!
Initially wanted an Audi TT however was drawn to the TF and after the 1st couple of weeks I'm very happy with my choice.
The car I bought has 45k on it and receipts for a fair amount of work done including belt and head gasket.
The only thing which will need attention at some point in the not too distant future is the clutch which is OK but certainly on its way out!
I would also like a 'perspex' engine bay cover plate ....... possibly noisy but would love to see the motor sitting behind me ...... has anyone done this?

This is a great place to discuss your new car and I am sure you will get a lot of answers and ideas here!
I do like your idea of a Perspex cover, maybe a smoked or tinted one may look good, but not sure how loud it would be without the soundproofing mat.

IIRC they use 10mm polycarbonate sheet for clear engine covers.
