Topic

Hi from North Wales 7 years 10 months ago #169644

I have just joined the group as I am contemplating buying a TF as a project and wanted to know as much as possible prior to purchase. I am a retired engineer (of sorts) having worked in and around power stations for most of my working life. I currently drive s SKODA Yeti and find it to be more than adequate for my current needs. Previous cars, of which there have been many include MX5s Porsche 924, Lotus Esprit, Reliant Scimitar and about 40 other less memorable vehicles. There may be more which I have purposefully excluded from memory due to embarrassment or the fear of inducing mental trauma.
My hobbies revolve around metal work of all descriptions. I have a fairly comprehensive, if rather small workshop and have the capacity but not always the ability to carry out most mechanical and electrical repairs.
Hears looking forward to reading and hopefully eventually contributing to the forumj

I hope you have overcome the addiction. It took me a long time the get the dead Scimitar off the drive. In fact several of my old cars have had to be forcible removed from the drive, my normally loving wife seems to have an aversion to dead or dying cars.

It seems to be, a rather common irrational phobia, amongst the womenfolk!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

The trick is to keep the car looking as if it is cared for, wash occasionally and keep the tyres pumped up.

Good luck with the search.
