A couple of months ago I would have tweaked my leave and jumped on this. Just can't fit it in now. The offer's appreciated though and hopefully someone will benefit from it. It sounds like the trip of a lifetime.

No we fly over and my brother-in-law gives me his BMW325i convertible and I get a couple of outings driving his 1963 Cadillac Eldorado which wouldn't even fit on the Stelvio Pass roads.

Here is Paul and Sue's offer:-

Due to unforseen circumstances it is with regret that we can no longer go on the Border Patrols trip to Italy. I know this is at short notice so in an attempt to recoup some of my costs I am offering this for £500 which is half of what I have already paid.
You will get weeks accomodation at the resort in Italy, plus return ferry crossing for one car and two passengers. There may be additional cost for ammending the ferry bookings and hotel accommodation in Dijon.

Can you fly from Germany to Milan Paul?? If so, I'm pretty sure insurance could be sorted so we could get your car down to Italy for you???

Been away from the PC since early last night and that it is a very interesting proposition Maggy. I will get on this and see if I can get things sorted.
