just tried lots of suspension components over the years, and some from supposed reputable makers just are not up to the job. Had a set of springs which failed after 2000 miles, and shockers that leaked after a couple of years. Very cautious about what I buy now.
Chris
will they be any good for a TF? i need to learn what all the suspention marlarky is about, basically i want to lowed Bucephalus, but i want adjustablilty like you have on a motorbike so i can hacve a softer ride for normal driving but stiffen her up for track days
i know the gaz system is good but is around £600 (think from mgoc) but if i can get a good system second hand all the better
i need to figure out what else i need to change/ improve such as putting poly bushes in maby?
F and TF suspension is completely different and none of it is transferable from one to the other.
My list is rather small at the moment as i've not added everything to it

Tis a fine list! - although is a tonneau really a mod?
Under the Bonnet:
Suppose you got me there I reckon I could have got away with it if I'd needed to add the studs for it but it's the MK1 that doesn't need anything adding to fit it :skeptical:
Where does the spare wheel go with all that stuff in there????
Why can I see you going out & buying MK2 fixing studs & modding them to fit a MK1 tonneau just so you can say it's a mod!
I suppose a definition of a mod is really anything you add to the car, or is it?
To someone leather seats is a mod, but not to me because the car already had them.
So if you don't have a tonneau, then adding one to the car, - is it a mod, or isn't it?
I dunno now, I've confused myself!
Yes really some makes have been dreadful shoddy, mismatched and just plain dangerous. The Gaz units are pretty good and not bad value for money, can be a pig to set up to get your clearances equal for each coilover, a fraction of a turn on the spring seat different to to opposite corner can put the corner weights out by as much as 10% so very much need to set aside a full day for fitting and setup.really? have some makes been better than others? im looking at a GAZ set up, or possibly mike satur all though i don't think his lower the car as much as the GAZ one
If you want to run nitrous it will be pretty vital to stiffen up the crank and big ends and invest in forged pistons to avoid a very expensive first shot of nitrous, and a sump full of engine bits.F and TF suspension is completely different and none of it is transferable from one to the other.

Where were you thinking of getting the head done?
Can point you in the right direction if you are intersted.
