I just wish you could move the whole thread over here where people, whether they like what you have done or not, are man enough to give credit where credit is due

Yes will be road legal and plan to do euro trips and track days in it

And visit the ring if it don't shut

Bit of an update..

The engine components all go to Hellier on the 29th of this month

The engine will be assembled and when I collect the engine it will be ready to fit

I next need to sort the gearbox re-built including getting the Quaife installed

Then it'll be sort the subframes and start building them up off the car

Having seen Allan's car at the weekend it will be an amazing machine. I admire Allan for his determination to hand form most of the parts himself. A skilled operative and as Allan said not everyone's cup of tea but a really interesting project. I hope that Allan will take for a spin in it when it is finished. Well done.

I'm more than happy to take folks out in it once its finished,... In fact most runs ill attend on my own so that others can jump in the passenger seat for a ride..

But I will always drive legally on the road...

Track days however will be a little different lol

Its like a lot of us that have our little projects, they will be like marmite, people will either love or hate them but at the end of the day its us that take them home


some of the projects going on at the minute are quite exciting and Im gonna have to stop reading the threads cos when poor Daz hears "what about" he groans

Only joking he actually found it quite funny when the first words I uttered to him when I woke up the other morning was "that car needs coolant, its running on water"

Just found a guy in Birmingham who is going to shoy balst my subframes for £30 a pair hopefully.. place near me wants £90 per subframe

Im taking them to brum.. going racing for the day.. then collecting them on the way home

I can then start building the front subframe up and get it back in

Rear subframe will be ready to take the engine once Hellier have built it

Getting all four hubs blasted too..

Most of the other stuff is already blasted and painted

make sure you get the internals of the subframe recovered other wise you will have a rusty subframe.we get ours dipped in zinc so its full coverage then powdercoated,then wax injected
