Allan I tip my hat too you that is awesome, will this be then new improved Golden Wheels?

I never got to se golden wheels.. and know there is a love hate relationship with that car..

But if you study the photos... either a body shop took a lot of money or the owner spent a lot of hours on the car... the mods to the body are subtle... but so well done... rear bumper.. rear lights.. no door handles.. doors modded to lead into scoops..

If my car turned out half as good as golden wheels id be chuffed.. and very proud..

Those are the ones... but buy 13.9 bolts for the lower mounts..

Yes they are each... But the bilsteins cost more if I remember correctly

Like the scoop on the hardtop, did you build it yourself? Will have to do something similar for my rally car, to make sure occupants don't overheat... I had been thinking along the same lines as you with a cold air feed, so maybe I'll do a bigger scoop to feed both.

Yer the scoop was done by me.. Its actually a kit car wheel arch chopped down and bonded on.. Although Elise parts now sell roof scoops..

The scoop is very much love/hate.. But I really think when whole car is finished the scoop will finish the look

I like the look of the scoop anyway, and the fact it's functional is great. My car everything will be functional or it won't be there I have just been thinking about how to duct air back without obscuring rear view or interfering with the roll cage... could be tricky. One of my original ideas had been to vent back from the bonnet, along the top of the tunnel and in, so I shall have to see which is easier.

I plan to fibre glass a rectangular duct across the underside of the roof.. then split it and run it down each 'B post' on the rear of the roof.. then 2x bits of flexi hose to connect to 'sockets' on the engine bay cover..

My question is, how much is the new engine going to be. Need to know so i can persuade the wife i need one lol.

Just get the head done and a lightened fly wheel... That would be a good improvement

These cars just invite modification don't they? Will yours be street legal or track days only/
