I'm just waiting for Kameleon to let me know what his new Carbon Fibre bonnet is like. He was supposed to be picking it up last weekend but has had a lot on his plate.

So are they going back into production :-?

Are they for the selected few only or can anyone ask to buy one :-?

I was on the original list of interested on 'org, but obviously it never happened

The first posts are most the info. Anything else you need to know just ask mate.

I have no idea what a dxf is. Sounds interesting though as I will be starting the underbonnet ducting in the new year.

Just had word from the lad who did the bonnet.

And the word is.....

"I am still ok for running bonnets, if you could advise on quantities etc, assuming the fit of the new frame is all ok. I can advise on lead times etc."

So, who is up for a fibreglass vented bonnet?

Will be £215 paid to me on order and I will hold the payment until the bonnet is complete.

This way the supplier doesn't get the money until the bonnet is ready but also he doesn't make a bonnet to find that the buyer has changed their mind.

Not sure of courier yet but would be for you to arrange at the moment.

Mine is away getting painted at the moment but I will post pics up when it is done.

As a reminder. This is what we are talking about.

As he says in his e-mail, there will be a lead in time as he makes them by hand and doesn't hold stock, so be prepared for a wait.

Anyone interested?

Perhaps it's time for another run of them that is Clive and the manufacturer/craftsman is up for it.

How would one carry a spare wheel with one as noticed it was aproblem in the post. Is this solvable with out major hassle or surgery?

Edit:- Should have added that the bonnet on "Elsie" my VVC needs repainting anyway so something is going to have to happen, re-spraying or replacing, early next year.
