This has probably been covered before. I have bought a second user Pscan & as such will have the paw prints of the last owner; it will also have software already down loaded. It is luring me in, like a Siren, whispering "Plug me in, Plug me in", from its perch with the other test equipment, however I would like guidance first.

i just downloaded the software and plugged it in AP worked straight away

So your unit was second hand was it Alec. There's no software in the unit which would identify it as belonging to the previous owner. Getting this thing wasn't straightforward with PayPal cocking up & so I don't want to have to send it away.

Yes i got mine from marketplace too, i just installed the pscan software on my small laptop and plugged it in

I have to say I'm struggling a bit, I'm not seeing on the computer what is to be expected from the instructions & so I've put it down for now. The deep end might just be too deep. Is the chassis loose within the case, this one moves around, a few mm but it feels odd.

Mine was 2nd hand too and it does rattle slightly but works ok.

What happens when you plug it into the PC and the car Mike?

I shall return to the device later& with a less expectant outlook.
When device came along saying they were plug & play I was delighted, this implied that I could plug a device in & have it working shortly after getting it home. This wasn’t always the case but when screens are presented on my computer that look very different from what was expected, I get into a flap.
That is where I was last evening. My go to guru went to live in NZ: Bugger.

I've posted this in "Pit Stop, never thinking it might be better in Pscan. If those who administer our every move think it should be there, feel free to shunt it into that siding.
