Underbody Rustproofing - DIY Possibility? 2 weeks 4 days ago #206482

Hi everyone,

I'm working my around my TF with rustproofing, I've done the wheelarch lips in Bilthamber Dynax UC and inner sills in Dynax S50 Cavity Wax.

I'm thinking about doing the underbody, but is this possible for someone with a limited amount of time (up to a day) and a set of ramps? I was thinking wire brush, rust converter and then Dynax UB.

Or am I better off at a specialist such as South West Rustproofing?

Depending how much surface stuff there is to take off, it could quickly escalate from one day to a few. You'd also need to let the converter go off before coating over it so that needs to be figured in. It's certainly possible to do at home but it will likely take longer than a day and it will be awkward and very messy. If you can afford to pay someone to do it, I'd seriously consider it.
