Hi,
I've removed the modern head unit from my MGF and am looking to fit an original HU. A VDO 22DC597 which I think is period correct for my MG.

However I've since found out that its supposed to come with a wiring harness, which I don't have. Anyone have an idea of where I can get one from?

I've found a picture of what I'm looking for:

Don't think it is. MGF mark ones were fitted with an MG branded Philips 22dc741 radio cassette which, incidentally works very well and has long wave for continental touring. They plug straight in. They cost about £30.
The unit pairs with a specific Cd changer, the 22DC082 which communicates using the i2c protocol and not the D2B of the 22DC022 which means that you have to use the right one.

I do have a brand new Rover Philips stereo 6 cd changer (from 1997/8) for a 22dc741 and lead that goes from the boot to the radio which is still in the original wrappings. I bought a spare one in case my existing one failed but now I have replaced the head unit so the spare is no longer needed. PM me if interested.
