Just having a poke around and noticed that the two support bars don't appear to be fastened to anything whee they disappear above the engine!

So, what do they do, what do they fasten too and how do it do it?

There are two long bolts on the engine cover that go through the ends of those bars.

I have an MGF and someone suggested it might benefit from fitting some of these.

Is this feasible and if so is it a serious improvement? If so I assume I would have to get a second hand pair - where from?
