Time to eat humble pie! 5 years 11 months ago #186077

Ever since I've been into mgf's I've hated hardtops and offered my advice on eBay being the best place to store a hardtop, why even buy a soft top car then put a hard roof on it, even to the extent of making a list of the pros and cons of fitting one to a soft top car, crisp winter days out etc.

Well, Today I joined the dark side, climbed the fence of indifference and viewed things from the other side.......

This happened.....

So, whilst I eat my humble pie I'd like to say sorry to all the members I've preached to about something that I thought was a pointless accessory but in fact is a very worth while addition which transforms the car on motorways and looks good too.

Sorry. :coat:

Yes I remember showing a pic of my tf with hardtop and you made a comment about having it on....saying how you would never have one!

In fairness though Andy, with the other silver bits on the car, it looks very nice :broon: :broon: :broon: :broon: :broon:

I give it two weeks, and it will be off...

Hanging from the garage roof where it belongs. ;)

Who in their right mind drives with a hard top on this time of year! :spank:

If my head is not getting wet, the roof is down! :yesnod:

Yes I bet it transforms the car on motorways, to a dull boring rep-mobile, but without the comfort!

May as well PX it for a ford KA now :bust:

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Enjoying the pie Andy? ...this is a copy of your post not to long ago.

And here's the reply post from Andy when I pictured my tf wearing it's hardtop some time back.

Oh no what's this another reply post from Andy on the subject of hardtops...Andy is really anti hardtop...he would never fit one to his car would he?

Should have got her one of these instead

Closest car I could find to an "F" with a hard top on.

Probably would have been cheaper than the hard top as well :yesnod:
