British Racing Green paint codes HFF V's HAM 7 years 3 months ago #175849

Hi all, I'm new to the-t-bar and this is my first post. I bought my first MG TF before Christmas which is BRG paint code HFF (pearlescent)
I have seen a hardtop for sale in BRG paint code HAM (metallic). Now, I don't expect them to be a perfect match but could anybody tell me
just how far apart they are?

Cheers

:welcome2:
They are pretty close. Just far apart enough to be obvious.

Hi David, thanks for the reply, I thought that may be the case, still undecided what to do.
My car isn't garaged so it would protect the soft-top at least.

Cheers

:welcome:

A well cared for soft top will be waterproof and will be easier to use than lugging a hardtop around when you decide to go for some spur of the moment topless action.

Unless of course if you live in a less desirable part of town then it makes more sense.

Hi Andy,
Good point, the soft top is in pretty good order, as soon as we get a break in the weather I'm going to give it a clean.

Cheers

Just, buy yourself either a storm hood protector or a full cover, a lot easier to store than a hard top

Experience has told me not to bother with a hardtop unless you really need one.

Hi talkingcars,
after having a rethink, you've summed up this thread for me in one line!

It's all my fault!

Essex TF was visiting and came to Angouleme in my TF to watch the racing ... I thought he went a bit glassy eyed - and now look what he's gone and done!

Hooked, just like the rest of us!
What's that black canvas thing behind the seats for?

Hello FrenchTF,
don't worry, I wont hold it against you
It was a great day out though!
We'll have to do it again sometime soon.
