I just discovered a oil leak comming from where drive shaft enters gearbox, can gearbox be removed without taking out engine?

Gearbox cannot be "removed" without taking out engine! :nonod:

Driveshaft oil seals can be replaced without removing gearbox though! :broon:

Only need to pull driveshafts out after a little disassembling of hubs.

For information the gearbox actually can be disconnected from the engine and moved aside, but as above, it's not necessary to do that to replace the drive shaft seal. :yesnod:
