Hi Guys

Im hoping someone can help me with a place to start.

Basically the problem is with the drivers window switch.

When you press UP the glass goes down, when you press DOWN the glass goes up.

The passenger side one works fine and as it should but the drivers seems back to front

Have you checked to see if the switch isn't fitted upside down in the console?

I didnt know that was possible I though it was shaped to only go in one way.

Yes it can defo go in the wrong way round! Trust me!!!

Swop the wires on the switch sound like it's been out previously and it's been wired back to front , I did the same but on the wing mirrors on my old corsa , everything was backwards , up was down ,down was up , left was right and right was left lol

The wiring plug to the switch only goes one way but the switch itself can be upside down.
If it's not the switch the the problem is most likely to the wiring to the window regulator motor inside the door.

It should be pretty easy to see if the switch is upside down. The white icon on the two switches should be the same way up.
