This was the thing that killed the return of speedway in Ellesmere port!!

Here we had one dipsh!t move in next dor to a homeless dog shelter and got it closed down due to the noise from barking dogs!

Then, there is an old industrial port suburb with docks, factories and and oil terminal in a corner and yuppie idiots bougt up all the surronding workers cottages and now forever complian about the trucks from the ports etc on the roads thougth the suburb.

There is also an older airport that has had people build houses all around it and now they whinge about aircraft.

Of course motor sport venues here are also under theat by urban sprall.

What a surprise it would be to hear racing cars when move next door to a racing track!
They buy these properties because the are relativly cheap, due to the close proximity of the track, then try it on so as to increase their property values!

Back when I was on the farm, I had complaints from neighbours (city folks with a weekender) about the noise from the animals, half of which would be wild animals from the nearby forest! Bloody idiots!

Used to get it all the time in the RAF.

People would move into houses next to the airbase and then complain about the noise. The good ol' RAF would then pay for triple glazing and sound proofing to help the poor people who didn't realise that the RAF have jet aircraft.

We also had an incident at RAF Boulmer. Once a week, every week, since the year dot, the station air raid sirens would be tested, until a new, fairly expensive, estate was built close to the base. The new owners complained of the noise it made. No more air raid sirens.

At least when I apologized to our neighbours about the noise when 9 cockerells hatched they just shrugged and said 'It's the countryside'. Hope the petition is successful.

Also signed. We had a complaint at the sailing club last summer about our race hooter. It's a 6 volt motor bike horn and it goes on the end of the harbour facing out to sea by the Starters' Box and you get a sound signal with each starting flag then signals at the finish of the race (as per the International Rules of Racing). We only race on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The complainant claimed it was a new noise that they'd just noticed...we've been doing this for years - however, we did say if they didn't like it perhaps the constabulary would let us use a shot gun instead just like we used to do in the good old days...she left in disgust.
