It would be nice for us all if they were worth this sort of money. :yesnod: My view is that he'll get less than 1 bid. :P

My thoughts exactly.

We went to look at one the other day.

W reg, needed work, painted in a gaudy meta flake pink by Steve wonder with a dead chicken!!

Guy wanted £1500 :omg:

Missus liked it but not at that price and guy immediately knocked a 1/3 off price!

No sale.

£5000 doesn't even reach the reserve price

It says it is in immaculate condition and has only done 7000 miles and only got wet once.

I think it will be worth this price, ..... at some time during this century! :pop: Maybe.

If it was to check out on a inspection there are serious enthusiasts who would buy it,with that mileage if proven genuine, the car would have to be a outstanding example.
Back in the day i can remember people paying £15000 second hand for 97 MGFS.

If it really is as advertised, I personally think his expectation isn't unreasonable. What else could you get for 5k with that mileage in that condition?

The fact that well used F & TF go for chip money doesn't necessarily detract from the potential value of a premium priced minter. The potential hitch is whether it really is as good as stated.

Yeh, but none of the known problems have reared their ugly head yet.
Unless you drive it regularly, what's the point of keeping it in the garage :yesnod:

The ownership of such a car is one thing: what you choose to do with it is another.

Ours gets used 7 days a week, as a daily drive and at the weekend. Many cars on here and elsewhere lead a charmed dry weekend only spring/summer life. You pays yer money etc....
Note: They do actually work Mon to Fri.... :yesnod:

If I bought it I'd drive it. Others wouldn't.

The F and TF will never be hailed as icons of quality: rightly so, as many aspects of their design are either parts-bin engineering or just absolute plain crap. Or both. Sorry, but they are. Mini Metro anyone?

The attraction to the marque is cheap enjoyable sports car motoring. Why we bought ours.

A 56 reg 19k ragtop for under 3k. Where else? What else?

The Allegro has its supporters, remember. And they were Epic Crap. But somebody loves them.
