Rear Cubby Subwoofer Fitted. Photo 11 years 2 months ago #105468

For those interested. The enclosure is now fitted. The pic exaggerates the gap at the top. It's really not noticable in the flesh.

There are some provisional templates, but am yet to make good copies.

I've not fired it up yet so I don't know how it sounds, so will not distribrute any copies at the mo..

Hope you like.

I'd appreciate anybody that has comments like AMTCOUPE, please think before you post as it can be offensive. Opinions and constructive criticism, OK, but IMO one's such as left by this individual are unnecessary.

Agree. When we post things for comment we have to expect all opinion, but maybe in a more constructive manner in this case.

A sub woofer is not something I'd fit myself, though I am not quite ancient enough not to know what one is. Each to their own, I was impressed by the workmanship.

(A sub woofer is of course an underwater dog. :yesnod: )

You're a Gent (or Lady), thanks. I'm only looking for a more fuller sound, not car rocking. May yet try the footwell. Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to post.

It's the John half of the democracy that is John and Sue ( with Sue in command) that usually posts.
She insists on being in the name as (she thinks) its her car.

I think it'd look a whole lot better if you had a colour coded mesh cover over the speaker.... as it is, despite it being a tidy fit, I think it clashes badly with your classy interior.

Does it obstruct your arm rest cubby from opening fully?

Although it looks tidy it's not for me.
Sub frequancies should be low and felt rather than heard, and this will be close to shoulder height, high frequancies should be high, ear level or higher.
