Yep, I would be asking lots of questions of anyone I was thinking of entrusting engine work with, after doing a lot of homework to see if they knew their stuff.
Not all engine tuners know their stuff on the K.
Listening to anything Simon Erland say for example...... His rep is interesting...

How about keeping it to questions and not getting pedantic over anything not related to the relevant questions

I was curious as I've been told to expact about 185bhp and I'm doing a LOT to my engine.. So just curious how Daz got 187..

We all like a bargain.. And if could get the same without buying,vernier pulleys, piper cams, emerald, lightened flywheel, lightened pullies, forged pistons, head port n polish and bottom end balance I'd save a bomb.. Lol

I know jack all about K series tuning.. But I do know 'a bit' about cars.. So don't always believe everything I read.. My bad

And nor should you! We wouldn't get anywhere if we didn't question things! As a car forum, we are all well within our rights to question comments that have been posted and should not be chastised for doing so.

There's nothing wrong in that. Anyone can see that you powermongers like to bleed every last horsepower out of your cars. That's superb. But it doesn't mean that Daz has to reveal his trade secrets unless he's happy to do so though.

Let's keep it interesting for the sake of us with only 120 bhp or so. I'm trying to pick up a few tips myself.

Did the boys from Stuttgart give you any feedback on their car that you worked on yet Daz?

I've spoken with Hellier performance, vibration free, sabre heads, simon erland and a few others and all suggest similar routes and similar power gains. I originally though Daz was saying he could get 187 without internal engine mods. Ie induction etc. Hence why I asked

It don't matter what your budget or your actual or claimed bhp is... I just wanna thrash an Elise lol

Be interesting to see what Jon N's supercharged K puts out though
