Is this my MEMS3? 12 years 3 weeks ago #46726

Hope so, tell me yes, tell me so please....

I've invested in a 52mm body, and TF filter box which I shall connect to cold air. Then it'll be a re-map: hopefully

No distributor?
Colipacks on top of engine?

It looks like a MY2000 model looking at the size of the airbox so it could me MEMS2

My 2000 is mems3.

I believe the 'wedge of cheddar' ecu shows mems3.

My MY2000 is MEMS 2.

I did`nt know about the wedge shape being MEMS3. You learn something new every day

Ah, I simply removed the child gate at lunchtime to take this snap. No other access to hidden gubbins today!

I believe my2000 should be mems3 but I don't doubt that MGR would have used up old stock of ecus before changing. :-? I'm also willing to believe I'm talking rowlocks as well. :bust:

I also think that two lambda sensors means mems3.

Well I can confirm the former and was hoping, by this photo, to confirm the latter. Not enough evidence for a diagnosis it seems?

Your right in what you say, but I know my MY2000 is mems 2. Its coil pack is located on the rear of the block below the thermostat and it only has the one lamba sensor fitted in the manifold. Maybe mine was one of the last mems 2 before the change.

Go with what David said regarding the cheese wedge shaped ECU being MEMS 3 a difference I was not aware of. Failing that take the engine cover off and look on top of the engine for the coil packs
