Looking to buy some paint for the car, going to try to sort out some body work flaws... anyone able to tell me the official colour or better still paint code for the car please?

The paint code should be on a plate where the ABS unit is on some cars, or just down from the horn.

Looks like AMARANTH code LQW ~ as Clive has said the paint code is on the plate by the ABS modulator block, drivers side under the bonnet.

Bryan's right the colour is Amaranth, but the code is KMN. LQW is Anthracite. I know, ours is Anthracite.


And that's the Goodwood grid! I remember it well.

Sorry i got it wrong (from a supplier list!!) David is quite correct the code is KMN ~ there is a website at www.mgfcar.de/vin/mgfcolours.htm which shows all of the colours trought the years of production and how many were painted in each colour

That could have made for a really bad touch up.

Definitely AMARANTH as Fleur is the same colour.
