Well I have finally perfected closing the hood without getting out. The trick is to not look backward when trying to get hold of the hood, right arm over right shoulder, stretch back a little to get more stretch backwards, then grip side arms of the hood not the top rail.
I did wonder about doing a how to. But Kara`s attempt using her feet takes a bit of beating.:rolleyes2::rolleyes2::rolleyes2::shake::shake::shake:

Any of you have other interesting methods ?

I have a pull strap attached to the drivers side latch. Unfold it when you let hood down then you can pull it up again from just behind your head with no effort at all.... then just roll it up and it sits nicely above the catch.... had it for a year and would never do without it!

It becomes difficult if you have hoops/windbreak fitted.
I would be interested to see some pics of your pullstrap in action, Adam

If it gets that bad I stop and put the roof up. Safer and doesn't hurt so much.

1. raise arms above head
2. stretch arms backwards and grab hood
3. use back muscles to pull the hood up and over your head
4. lock in place

probably not the best way, and probably not doing any good to my back either! but it works

Sounds like an aerobic exercise. Down 2 - 3 - 4, and rest.

both arms over head and pull, dead easy..... now unzipping the back window while driving so the top can be wipped off at a junction is a tad more challenging!
Teesside meet, open to all MG/Rs. 3rd Sunday of the month, ask for times and places!!!
