Been fiddling today between the snow showers.
I took the snorkel off the top of the blower so that I could seal it properly and get rid of one of my leaks.
I couldn't believe that the 3 bolts on the front edge didn't have captive nuts, considering that it is nigh on impossible to get a spanner on them. It must have been installed before the master cylinder. What were they thinking.
I ended up jamming a screwdriver in to my nuts to hold them in place.
So, another mod I did was to use my rivnut tool and fit some rivnuts so I wouldn't have the same problem next time.
Once it was off I dried the seal off and applied some roofing sealant to the bulkhead. Non of your namby pamby silicone sealant, but some house roofing/guttering type stuff.
Put the snorkel back on and bolted it back into place.
Smoothed the sealant off around the edge and hopefully I can forget about the leak.
Put my carpet, passenger seat and door cards back in. So I nearly have a complete car now.
